CHASSIS OUTLINE

ETi Mazda RX-7 (FD3S) Carbon Fiber Exhaust Heat Shield

Product Description

Carbon fiber exhaust heat shield for the FD3S — reduces heat transfer from the exhaust to surrounding chassis components and adds a clean race-ready visual finish at the rear. Vacuum-process carbon construction with FRP and Kevlar options. Bolt-on direct fitment.

Key Features

Stock heat shielding is sheet metal that ages, rusts, and looks dated. The carbon heat shield does the functional work (reduces heat soak in nearby components) while finishing the visual on builds where the rear exhaust area is visible — wider exhausts, exposed muffler setups, track cars with stripped rear bumpers.

Materials Available

  • Functional heat barrier — reduces radiant heat transfer from the exhaust to nearby components.
  • Vacuum-process carbon construction on carbon variants — true weave, UV-stable clear coat.
  • FRP option — paint-ready primered shell.
  • Kevlar option — added thermal and impact resistance.
  • Direct OEM fitment — bolts to factory hardpoints near the exhaust.
  • Race-ready aesthetic — finishes the rear visual on builds running an aggressive exhaust setup.
  • Fiberglass (FRP) — paint-ready primered shell, ready for body-color paint.
  • Matte Carbon — OEM-stealth, track-focused weave that hides in the engine bay.
  • Gloss Carbon — deep show finish under clear coat.
  • Forged Carbon — random-fiber pattern with modern marbled texture.
  • Kevlar/Carbon Hybrid — black weave, unique accent with added thermal and impact resistance.

Fitment

  • 1992-2002 Mazda RX-7 (FD3S) — all years, all trims
  • LHD and RHD chassis
  • Verify clearance with aftermarket exhaust systems

Production Lead Time

  • Built to order — typical lead time 6–8 weeks
  • Shipped worldwide via DHL or FedEx
