Product Description
The RE Amemiya hood is the FD3S aero icon — twin-vent, race-bred, instantly recognizable as the design that defined the RE-Amemiya program. We build it in vacuum-process carbon with tight panel gaps and direct OEM fitment. The way an RE hood should sit on the car.
Key Features
- Vacuum-process carbon construction — true carbon weave throughout, UV-stable clear coat. No yellowing.
- Twin functional vents — pull hot air out of the engine bay where the 13B needs it most.
- Direct OEM fitment — bolts to factory hinges and latch. No shaving, no gap chasing.
- Significant weight reduction over factory steel.
Why Upgrade
RE Amemiya built their reputation on FDs — the hood is part of the visual signature. The aggressive twin vent isn't just for looks: it's the cleanest factory-style answer for getting heat out of the FD's engine bay. Most reproductions on the market are wet-lay shells with sloppy panel gaps. We build ours from real carbon weave with dialed-in fit so it sits flush with the cowl, fenders, and bumper.
Material Options
- Matte Carbon — clean, motorsport-spec look. Doesn't show fingerprints. Most popular for time attack builds.
- Gloss Carbon — full UV-stable clear over 2x2 twill. Show-quality finish.
- Forged Carbon — random-fiber pattern. Deeper texture, modern aesthetic.
- Carbon/Kevlar Hybrid — black weave. Premium impact resistance, unique look.
- Dry Carbon — the lightest option, full dry-carbon construction. The full-carbon track and show spec for builders chasing every gram.

- 1992-2002 Mazda RX-7 (FD3S) — all years, all trims
